I think the only thing that's changed is labeling requirements. Don't
panic.

Well, nothing has changed perhaps, but unhealthy ingredients have surfaced.

I might add, I'm not singling out Jiffy. Other foods, Jiffy included
haven't come clean on complete macro and micro nutritional information.

There's your processed foods for ya!!! The BUMS!!!

Imho,

Andy

I'm pretty sure that the ingredients are actually the same, but they
have to tell you a bit more about where they came from now, ie.
processed X instead of just X... lard isn't what I'd call a healthy
ingredient at the best of times!

There's nothing in the new package that isn't in the old packate. It's
just that FDA packaging labeling has changed a bit and they have to be
more detailed in some of their definitions.

I will say I don't like the new photo as much as the old photo.
Compared side by side, which muffins would YOU prefer to eat?

The only complaint left is that the nutrition labels are still so
incomplete!

Are you an advertising executive? I don't do muffins. Cornbread is
loafed, since I was a kid! YMMV.

All the best,

Andy

You have a point there, but your hair conceals it.

Yep, people were making and eating good cornbread long before Jiffy or
anything else in a box.

Hey, Jiffy conrbread and Johnny cakes are da bomb! Toss in a little
white sugar and/or bacon - yummity!

Actually, the Jiffy brownie mix is my secret weapon. You make it
according to package, but add a T more water. Layer the mix, and a
handful of chocolate chips in a 4x8 pan, and then top with a few more
chips. Bake until done but not dry/crunchy. People scream in esctasy
when eating these. Heh.

Dear vomit,
I've killfiled you a dozen times, but your address just keeps changing. Is
this because you are on-the-LAMB?
I don't killfile you because you're offensive, but because you are so
predictable and pathetically boring.

Oh, interesting! If I had known Jiffy Mix contained lard, I
might have tried it. But not with partially hydrogenated
lard. I wonder, though, whether it always contained that and
just had to relabel for transfat purposes?

Oh NO! Jiffy cornbread/muffin mix is already entirely too sweet! When I
resort to using it, I add salt to counteract the darned sugar.
