Default help! fishy smelling cast iron pan

Well, the first thing I'd do is heat my oven up to about 500 degrees and put
the cast iron pan in to bake for twenty or thirty minutes. If you are
smelling 'fish' it's probably because the volitile oils are trapped in the
pores of the cast iron. And heating it to that level 'should' help to
burn-off the natural oils from the fish that are creating the offensive
odor.
