If I'm not mistaken he munged his addy to "_gmail" and that tosses him
to my garbage pail. Om munged hers to "g_mail" and her posts, like yours
(g33mail), escape my gmail filter. Sf gets through too. But I notice her
headers read simply "From: sf" and gmail doesn't appear there though it
shows up in the "Reply-To" line. My filter works on the "From" line
("Kill if From contains gmail"). I don't know why sf doesn't show her
gmail address, but I'm glad she doesn't cause I'd hate to kill her
posts (especially if she's going to whine about it).
My kill filter is picking up an alarming number of posts since I killed
gmail. Some days it catches almost 10% of rfc posts. Some of these are
the ones I don't want to see. But I'm sure some, like Wayne's, are posts
I'd like to be able to read.
I use MT-NewsWatcher. It has "kill" filters, "highlight" filters, and
"keep" filters. I wonder what would happen if I killed gmail, but set up
a filter to highlight or keep Wayne's. Maybe that would do the trick? Or
perhaps my newsreader would suffer a psychotic break?
