Thats pretty much what I know too. The old man had a reputation for
being a hard bargainer but believed that suppliers had to survive too.
The kids started beating up suppliers which forced them into continual
cutting mode and then either out of business or off shore.
The unfortunate thing is that the "Walmart method" has become a popular
idea in business as others felt they needed to loose their morals in
order to compete with Walmart.
