Forgot to mention, it's a recipe from a 50's cookbook from (of all
places) New Zealand.
It's also actually called a "Wedding Cake" but is just as good for a
Christmas cake :-)
The only additions I've made to it are the extra booze. The recipe only
calls for 4 tablespoons of either Brandy or Red wine.
The (Maori) girl who gave me the recipe has been making them for years
and says they stay lovely and moist for months on end.
