Default Silver Covered Serving Dish

There's a simple way to polish silver. Put a piece
of aluminum in a bucket. Fill the bucket with water.
Dissolve some baking soda in the water (I forget how
much, but the quantity is not terribly critical).
Completely immerse the silver piece in the water and
touch it to the aluminum. The tarnish will instantly
disappear.

I'm not sure this would be a good idea with silver
plate, however, because eventually it might eat through
to the base metal.
