Trader Joes often does this, for many products, which is why I shop
there for many things.
For instance, I like the Kashi Go Lean cereal, and at Trader Joes, it
is often quite a bit less expensive. Same for the Fage Total yogurt:
I just can't find it anywhere else for the price that TJs charges,
which is much less. I could go on and on about several products that
they carry.
Another thing they do is get various companies to produce products
directly under the TJ label...sometimes it is a well recognized name
that is making a product for Trader Joes.
TJs explanation is that they cut out the middleman and buy directly
from a lot of the companies.
