I agree with Blake. All of the store brands I've tried have had much
the same texture (slightly gummy) and flavor. It's fine in cheesecake
but it's not my first choice on bagels and crackers. Kraft Philly has
a distinctly more pleasant flavor and better texture---I have
blind-tested and can tell the difference---and as long as it's not too
much more expensive than the store brand, I buy Philly.

Right now our Kroger has Philly for $1 and Kroger brand for 88 cents.
