Default Breaking tradition...a little help?

Kimberly, I finish hams with a combo of good red wine and a jar of
apricot jam or preserves. Melt the jam in the wine, pour over the ham
and baste for the last 1/2 hour in the oven. Has a bit of fruity
sweetness to it, but not the cloying sugar rush of most glazes. Works
well with or without cloves studded in the ham.
