I've also run into that with WAMU (another 'institutional' bank
that has systems in place to confound and disrupt customer
service.)

But...

I still write my Letters and have enjoyed many more successes than
failures. For those, like WAMU, that are clearly unwilling to
listen to my complaint, I post warnings everywhere I can.

My favorite electronic source is the BBB.org. Many will not use
them (coincidently, the same that bitch-and-moan aloud but won't
write A Letter or post a warning) and consider them impotent but,
again, my experiences are often vastly different.

Please keep writing your Letters!
