I never thought much about it. It stands to reason that if there was
chlorine in the water that it will be vaporized along with the water and
then distilled into the reservoir with it. Most of my water comes from the
well and I only dump chlorine in there occasionally. Most of the water in
the cistern is delivered by truck and comes from the town water supply,
which is chlorinated. Either way, I never notice any chlorine smell or
taste in my distilled water.
