Buy less at once, shop more often, it's ok to wait till you are actually
at the point of running out. Cooking more often helps too

.
My new question to myself is "do I really need it or do I just think I
might use it?" and then do a mental inventory of what I've got.
Still throwing stuff out, but far less of it.
My plans for the produce in my fridge:
1) Big pot of minestrone
2) Big pot of spaghetti sauce (think I will try freezing some of either #1
or #2)
3) Produce for mini-quiches (to be frozen for easter, etc., festivities)
4) Frittata-like breakfast bake - potatoes, eggs, egg whites left over
from #3, veggies, cheese (this, like the quiches, adapts to what's around)
5) I might still have a lot of red bells so might attempt muhmarra a la
Tigers and Strawberries
Of course, this means that I will likely get sick and not feel like eating
anything but chicken soup and potstickers.
I am trying to clear the decks for the veg and sign up for the CSA Serene
uses. They offer small/medium/large boxes, so I will start with the small
and see how it goes.
