Default OT, really, except for background - interesting book on China

I saw a pre-print a few months ago. Fascinating diverse views from the
inside. Looking forward to the final product.

Obtea: have just compared Menghai/Dayi Gong Ting and Adorned in Red
cakes with V93 bowl. All great, and better than all the other Menghai
shus I've tried in the past year or two. To me, the V93 is top pick:
creamy like a good stout, unusual copper-colored liquor, many steeps.
All three perfectly clear from first steep (no wash called for), and no
hint of off-notes from beginning to end. I'm leaning back to shu a
little on the strength of these and Dehong bricks - less complex but
much cheaper. On the price front, identical cakes seem to be available
over a factor-of-3+ price range, so it's worth shopping around.
