Never assume how other people live. This reminds me
of an Ann Landers column from many years ago in which
an anxious reader related her story about getting
together with some other housewives, and they were
talking about cleaning the bathroom and what a chore
it was to clean the toilet, when she discoverd that
one of the more challenging parts of that job (to
some of her friends) was cleaning the inside of the
toilet tank. She'd never heard of anybody doing that,
and she was writing to Ann to find out whether it was
normal to clean the inside of the tank. As I recall,
Ann had never heard of that either.
