Actually that's a pretty good idea. There is a Chinese dish called
Seafood Basket. I don't know its actual listed name on the menu. Hey I
only eat the stuff when I am invited for dinner or order a dinner for
10 with whatever the combo courses comes in. The dish comprises of
seafood (scallops, shrimp, calamari) stir fried in thick sauce with
several veggies and served in this "basket.". The basket I believe is
strings of sugarbeet molded between two wire baskets and deep fried.
The basket keeps the shape of the mold. Very crispy and tasty.
French fries would be soggy in comparison. So we expand your idea and
premake sugarbeet basket the size of a pop cup. Use that basket to
hold a fresh order of chicken nuggets, beef nuggets or whatever. It
will have to be eaten hot and the sauce added just before eating. The
basket will be even more effective than styrofoam in insulating the
hand from the hot food. It will not be that effective in keeping the
food warm though. The only paper packaging will be a thin cupcake like
basket wrapper. Everything else is edible.
