'Jerk' seasoning is supposed to be hot isn't it?

I'd never buy the basic spices in those fancy brands - I use Badia for
the basics because it's the cheapest there is! But their range is very
limited, so I've had to get the more exotic things in more expensive
brands. I gravitated to the jerk seasoning because it was a novelty to
me, and I was very pleased with the flavour... I just wondered if it
was really supposed to be that mild?
