The one I bought is something like this:

Except mine appears to be in better condition,
and I have an additional cutter blade. But it
hasn't arrived yet, so I can't really say for
sure about condition. And I paid less than $50
total, including shipping.
Now, there is an alternate form, but I'm not
sure whether it is earlier or later:

Note the cast iron base, rather than wood.
Of course, I have no reason to believe either
of these machines works better than a modern
machine, with its stainless steel and detents
for the thickness adjustment, etc. And modern
pasta machines are much cheaper.
But as Molotov once said, you pay your money
and take your chances.
