I've noticed I'm doing this more frequently, too... Starting
one task, getting distracted with a complete tangential (often
random) task, finishing that and ignoring the primary.
Gahdferbid the primary was time-sensitive...

Meals are often the root cause of mine, too, so I'm often
forgiven...

No cure, though. My GP did get a good laugh when I mentioned it
to him.
