In order to make a valid decision you need to think about the following:

How many people are you making waffles for?

What type of waffles, Belgian, American breakfast?

How often are you going to use it?

Is a dedicated waffle maker OK or do you want one of the ones with the
reversible grill plates?

I have a Cuisinart large (6 waffle rectangles at a time). I am delighted
with the results but the appliance was IIRC about $70.00 (reconditioned) and
when I make waffles its for many people at a time.

I also own an OLD Proctor Schwartz circa 1930's with cast iron plates that
still works fine for a single 8 inch waffle.
