Default Stan & Andy's Excellent Adventure!

Stan & Andy's Excellent Adventure!

Stan and I met right on schedule at the Reading Terminal Market in
Philadelphia, PA. It was great to meet a fellow r.f.c-er!

First, what did we eat?

From Everyday Gourmet Stan had some spiced (spicy?) BBQ chicken and I had a
wrap with lettuce, artichoke and something else I forgot. Scott, a friend
of Stan who is the owner advised Stan to take LOTS of napkins! And I
believe they came in very handy. My wrap was excellent and didn't require
as many napkins. It was so big I could only eat half at two sittings.

Next we washed it all down with jumbo diet pepsi. And walked. The place is
really a feast for the eyes (including girl watching). Stan's been going
there for so long he kept saying they're excellent. They're excellent. I
should've been taking notes!

And we walked to a pizza shop he'd been meaning to try but he said he's had
better.

And we walked! And we walked to Chocolate By Mueller. Stan had sugar-free
dark chocolate pieces and I had sugar-free peppermint dark chocolate
rounds.

And we walked.

I got a bottle of Fiji water. Couldn't talk Stan into water and so we sat
down and ate.

There was a nurses convention at the convention center and when that was
over, the market got packed. We couldn't have been any safer!

Second: Stan. I know him from r.f.c but meeting him in person was like
meeting an old friend. We got along famously! He a very accomplished man. I
enjoyed his company even when we were walking and walking and walking.
Walking at the market means you're constantly dodging people standing in
lines and supplies.

We chatted up a storm. We were there for three hours. He's an avid
photographer and after walking me to my train, he was off to see Ben
Franklin and take some photos. No food photos. They wouldn't be food
worthy, imho.

We promised we'd do it again.

Thanks Stan. I had a great time, even with my aching feet. I should've
asked a nurse for a foot massage, dammit!!!

The End
