I do think some varieties of avocado are much more flavorful than
others. I do not know what a Haas tastes like. The ones we have here
almost year round- Sharwil and Kahaluu are absolutely flavorful and
tasty and I for one would never put garlic or onion in my guacamole to
cover the flavors. My guacamole recipe just has avocado, some sea salt
and lemon- mainly to give the avocado a little juice to make it a
little "dippier"
