The Marines never served my Dad (who was in for 30 years) ground beef in
white gravy and called it SOS. It was always chipped beef in sauce on
toast. And I love it! Ground beef in white gravy doesn't sound at all
appealing. If you're gonna go that route, might as well make sausage gravy
