Speaking of the short bus...here is Ruby Anne Boxcar's famous

THE SMALL YELLOW SCHOOL BUS CAKE

1 lg can crushed pineapple
1 can instant cherry pie fillin'
1 box yellow cake mix
1 cup pecans, chopped
1 stick margarine

Do not stir any of the ingredients together!
Spread the pineapples and their juice in an ungreased 9 x 13 pan.
Carefully spoon the cherry fillin' onto the pineapple layer. Sprinkle
the dry yellow cake mix over the cherry fillin' layer. Place pecans
on top and dot with margarine. Bake 350F for 1 hour. Serve plain or

TIPPER TATOR TOT CASSEROLE

"Lovie told me that every time Al Gore visits, he requests this dish,
which is why she named it after Tipper.

1 lb ground beef
2 tb onion, minced
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cheddar cheese soup
2 cups government cheese, shredded
20 tater tots.

Brown the meat in skillet and add the onion. Cook for 1 minute. In a
casserole dish, combine half the meat mixture and the cream of chicken
soup. Add the remainin' meat mixture and top with the cheddar cheese
coup. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the mixture. Cover it
with the tater tots and bake for 350F for 1 hour. ---Lovie Birch,
