We do but not like that! Around here aluminium cans (and other scrap Al)
bring about 0.35 (varies) a lb and we don't need to crush them. It pays
for a few more tins of cat food

Always amazed at the people who drive up to the recycle truck with the
bed of the pickup filled with numerous black bags of cans.
