Default FDA To Tomato Industry -- Oops, So Sorry !!!

1,700 samples collected in Florida and Mexico tomato
processing operations, and not one tested positive
for the Salmonella strain that has sickened 869 people
across the country.

Now, FDA is looking at peppers, onions, and cilantro,
but they're not backing off the recommendation against
eating tomatoes because of the embarrassment of admitting
they were wrong. Instead, they've "cleared" tomatoes
from certain regions from being the culprit.

This is almost all (if not all) of the regions where
tomatoes sold in the U.S. are grown.
