I used to work with a programmer whose family owned a funeral
parlor. Her brother died last year, and I just heard she's getting
her degree in mortuary science so she can go into or take over (not
sure which) the family business.

I mentioned this to the kid, who said that since the hospital is
wiling to hve her back next year, she won't need another internship
opportunity.
