For Sky : Other Australian Hamburgers
"Faschierte Laibchen"
(serves 4)
500 g minced meat
1 roll (cut into small cubes and dried)
1 egg
salt, pepper
1 onion, finely chopped
garlic, pressed
majoram
parsley
lard
breadcrumbs
Roast onion with parsley in a little lard until golden yellow.
Shortly before the onion is done, add garlic to the pan and stir.
Take pan from fire.
Soak the dried bread cubes in water.
Squeeze out most of the water and mix them with the minced meat.
Add onion/parsley/garlic, egg.
Season with salt, pepper, majoram.
Knead the dough well. If it becomes too hard, add a little water.
Now form hamburgers as large as your palm.
Wend the patties in breadcrumbs.
Fry in pan.
Serve with mashed potatoes or potato salad.
