What's the point?

1. The packets are pre-measured and most recipes call for different
amounts of spice. Not terribly convenient if you have to measure
a fraction of a package.

2. Once you open a packet and only use part, the "freshness" benefit is
lost.

3. Those little darlings are EXPENSIVE -- $.75 each, not including
shipping cost.

4. The packaging is a waste of resources.

As P.T. Barnum said, there's one born every minute.
