A lot of airports have unisex bathrooms. They take into account the person
taking a small child into a restroom may not always be the mother. But it
also doesn't preclude anyone, male or female, from using the facility.
Makes perfect sense to me. We all gotta go, and we know we all gotta go.
What's the problem?
