The only time I recall sending care packages, they were to my
sister--from Massachusetts to Illinois. This was in the late
60s/early 70s, and I would send her ingredients for cooking SE
Asian food--which were hard to come by in Boston back then, and
impossible to come by in her area of Illinois.
