To tell the truth I did not know the restrictions.
Fresh cherries are nothing like Maraschino Cherries. Maraschino cherries
are flavored heavily with almond which is where they get their distinctive
bitterness.
No limas?
The next time you get to downtown LA check with the Original Pantry (maybe
call first). Since they butcher their own Hams for their ham & Eggs they
have a lot of left over ham hocks. Every so often they have Ham hocks &
lima beans. I guarantee if you have some it will change you mind.
In addition they sometimes rake the left over end pieces of the roast beef
and make roast beef hash. It's to die for.
