I had a terrible tickle-in-throat cough while staying at a friend's house.
His mom was a hypochondriac and had every over-the-shelf cough medicine on
the market. None even slowed my cough down. We were up in the attack going
through some of his stuff when I found another box of old drugstore meds.
One was McKesson cough syrup w/ codeine. One tablespoon and 3 days of agony
was gone in about 3 seconds! It's a pity we pay millions for useless
remedies and have to pay a doctor exhobitant rates for a simple solution to
a simple problem.
