You reminded me of a funny thing that happened to me long ago.
I was just 18, working at a Japanese bank in Manhattan. The
emperor of Japan was visiting the city and the red army was
threatening to blow up a bank. This had the Japanese men in a
panic.
They came up front with a wooden box. In it was a gun. It was
explained to me that I should use it to hold off the terrorists while
all the men escaped out the back door.
Still makes me laugh, all these years later. What dolts.
