Greg, according to items I've read recently, Newman has terminal lung
cancer. This has apparently been going on for some time, as reports as
early as February noted that he was denying any illness which the tabloids
were attributing to photos that had been taken. In the photos I saw, he
looked extremely frail and very ill.

Yes, I remember so many of his and Joanne Woodward's early films, a few
together and many separately.

It is, indeed, a reminder that we are all getting older. I will be 64 next
January, and I find it hard to believe. :-)

I guess I'm some bouts of nostalgia, too, as I've been watching quite a few
older films on www.hulu.com.
