Can't speak for Brent, but as a 30+ years on the South Side guy, Geoff
is absolutely right. Most south side joints I grew up on thrived on
their thin crusts. I've never even had deep dish from Falco's,
Palermo's, Barraco's... and those are the staple pies for the SW side.
Deep dish is more of a downtown/tourist thing, if you ask me.
