Steve, I assume this is for asthma or another form of COPD? You should
probably hang in there a little while, to give your body a chance to adjust
to it. It's a miracle-worker for asthma, not so much for emphysema as I
understand. The bonus is, the anti-inflammatory properties, for me at least,
travel into my joints. (Most uncomfortable ailments are caused at least in
part by inflammation. I have something weird going on with the last joints
of my fingers and toes. When I take Advair, they don't hurt.)
All that said, I take a week or two break from the steroids every now and
then to see how I do without them.

This is the kind I use. I'm pretty well fixed on scripts. How'd you score a
free year? (Without insurance they run $250-300 a piece. With my insurance
this is $25, and most of the time the pharmacy offers a coupon that takes it
down to $10 or $15. You could probably do someone without insurance a good
turn.)
