Turnip greens with bits of turnips attached (which is odd since I don't care
for turnips otherwise)... mustard greens, collards...

Funny how you went on a hunt for "barbeque" in Kansas City but never tasted
greens (smoked meat or not) as a side dish. Did the restaurant offer beans
as a side?

Look in the grocery store for Trappey's brand canned jalapeno beans. Not a
thing wrong with them, except that these BBQ joints buy them by the gallon
from Hardins-Syscao Foods and pass them off as their own beans.
