Your results are good to know. I would fully have expected it to be overly
sweet and overly "liquidy". I can see where in might make a good fruit
salad dressing, in that case.
I love poppy seed dressing, but have never made it myself. The recipes
I've seen didn't look all that appealing.

That's a *lot* of macaronia salad! Probably wise to cut it down, or take
it to a large gathering.
