Actually you can chop off just a tablespoon or two of chile from the
frozen mass if they are packed in a large quantity. It is easier to
break off a bit if you smooth the bag as flat as possible before freezing.

I don't think we'll buy our usual bushels this year since I still have
quite a bit left over from last year. We bought two bushels and shared
with our daughter's and son's households.
