The days of ultra - cheap food and petro for the US are at an end, it was
great while it lasted. Those low commodity prices enabled us to be at the
top of the heap, especially during the post WWII era, which was really the
apex of "The American Century"...

This current re - adjustment upward is long overdue and is causing some
pain, but in the end it's a diet we had to go on and we will be much better
off for it in the end...
