Food for the week
Or at least the next 3 or 4 days. ;-) I often dedicate weekends to
cooking to save time during the week. Neither dad nor I mind living on
"leftovers" for a few days depending on what I cook.
Just finished braising 6 turkey legs with fajita seasoning, topped with
4 lbs. of "baby" carrots in the big cast iron pot. I treat carrots now
with some coconut oil, a little salt free lemon pepper and dill weed.
The carrots will be lucky to last 3 days. Dad has a passion for them.
<g> I swear he's gonna turn orange!
I have some other stuff planned, I'll probably cook again on Wednesday
other than breakfasts. Dad still prefers omelets or fried eggs for
breakfasts... and I'll often add some pork steak to that grilled on the
foreman.
