No, just plain out of a bag. I have used caraway when I
crock-potted it with country style spare ribs.

White potatoes. It was nice, they got that chewy browned
outside. I don't know how my inlaws managed that when
they cooked the potatoes in with the roast and the
sauerkraut, but they did. I put them on a separate baking
sheet.
