No. They were free for the targetted potential friends.

And even by your logic, if no-one at the table paid, the restaurant would
have paid. And if the lunches were free for the restaurant, then the
wholesaler/suppliers would have paid.

They were free for the targetted potential friends. I never said they
were free for Dyna. Indeed, I have no doubt Dyna uses the monetary cost
of the lunches when he lays on the post-lunch friendship guilt trip.
