Blinky, alas I do not have experience with a mandolin, but if there's a
"Tuesday Morning" store near you - go there! I saw a Cuisinart mandolin
for about $50 there (or was it $40?), IIRC. And Cuisinart's supposed to
be a good product name. HTH.
