Cooking with cranberry juice

When you say cranberry juice, do you mean the pure stuff with no
sweetener, the juice that's very very tart, or do you mean cranberry
juice cocktail with added sugar or a blend with apple or grape juice
which are also there for added sugar?
If you have the tart expensive juice, the only thing I can think of for
it is salad dressing. Use some of it in place of vinegar or lemon.
If you have something sweeter, I wouldn't put it with meat. I'd
consider using it in dessert, maybe as the liquid in a compote.
