Yes, I'd go back.
How's my logic - You could choose a place that has been caught, often
for something (like the lettuce supplier) not in the "resto"s direct
control, problem was fixed, place was reinspected and is probably
under greater scrutiny as a past offender.
Or, you could go to the place that hasn't been caught, yet.
As for home cooking - how many of us have kitchens that would pass a
stringent restaraunt inspection? Yet we all eat at home and most of
us aren't dead yet.
The big difference is that the restaurant is trying to make a profit,
may try to scrimp on things like storage temps and an extra hour of
clean-up at night.
