Small world indeed!

Some quake eh?? I was living in San Juan Capistrano at the time and
when I saw that my mom's neighborhood was on fire (remember the truck
that blew up on Balboa?) Well, that happened about ten houses away
from mom’s.
Anyway, my then husband and I tossed a bunch of camping equipment
(flash lights, lantern, stove and coolers) in the van, stopped at the
store and loaded up on ice and water then raced up the 405 to see
after her.
The house was a mess but she was cool as a cucumber wandering around
taking pictures and visiting with neighbors. She got a wicked pic of
the fire ball when that truck blew.

I know, they blow up like roman candles. Really big ones!

Thanks Peter, she’s a survivor and last reports are she is well.

We are really enjoying the rain here in Bundy. It’s cooled things off
well enough to use the oven today without us dying from the heat it
generates in the boat. Roast lamb is in the oven. Yummm!
Of course Southern California will get rain soon enough and the next
reports we will hear from that part of the world will be all about the
floods and the damage caused because the hillsides (due to the fires)
are melting.
California’s four seasons…. Drought, Fires, Floods and Earthquakes.
