Default Disgusting dinners at someone else's house

Three things come to mind, all from when I was a kid.

1. Beets. I actually don't dislike them, but for some reason
they immediately made me sick. This was at a friend's house--very
classy family. I spewed at the table.

2. Oatmeal (normal US style).

3. Puree mongole consisting of a can of tomato soup and a can of
green pea soup.

They were both first encountered at my paternal grandparents'
house. I later encountered the oatmeal at private school. I
lived in dread oatmeal days.
