This is completely different.

You hard-boil some eggs; while hot, slice them into a basic "white
sauce" that you have prepared. Spoon over toast. Served hot. Yum.

Egg salad is chopped up hard-boiled egg plus mayo plus salt, pepper
and whatever else you want. It's served cold.
