You are a better man than I Michael. I started a major kitchen cleanup
today and I figured that it was time to pull the fridge out of it's cozy
little corner so that I could pull out all the drawers and shelves,
purge it of all its little science projects. Then I was going to go
through my pantry and discard old stuff like the 6 year old packages of
rice noodles and cans with rusty tops. I was going to clean out the
closets and wash the floor.

I had a good start. I was home with the groceries by 1:30. I took the
stuff out of the racks on the door, threw some things in the garbage,
removed the shelves, washed them washed the doors. Then I got a
telephone call from a friend who had just returned from her sister's
funeral in North Dakota where she had spent the last week. That call
lasted close to an hour.

When I got off the phone I cleared the big shelves, pulled the shelves
and drawers out and started scrubbing them, scrubbed the sides and
bottom of the unit. I don't know where all that crap came from but it
did not want to come off without a fight. Then my nephew came by, so I
talked with him for about an hour. I was able to put some things back.

Once he left I was able to put the fridge back into the corner, put
everything back, bring int he groceries and put them away. I just got
everything put away by the time my wife got home and saw the remnants of
my white tornado.... a mess of the soon to be trashed science projects,
empty containers, bags of crap lying around.

Before she had a chance to say anything I said "Look what I did this
afternoon" and opened up the fridge. She was quite impressed until she
saw that I had not put things back in the order that she had them. :-)

So tomorrow I tackle to cupboards and the floor.
